Yorkshire Wildlife Park has welcomed a record numbers of visitors through its gates this summer.
The park’s six summer safari nights with music and fireworks proved more popular than ever with 12,882 providing a record single day attendance – compared to 8,200 last year in one day.
“It has been a wonderful summer and it’s been great to see families enjoying the magnificent animals and the entertainment,” said YWP director Cheryl Williams.
Victor the polar bear arrived at the park in Branton, Doncaster, earlier this summer and was an instant hit.
Other attractions include leopards, tigers, lions, giraffes, meerkats, wallabies, zebra and camels
“We can’t thank all our visitors enough for making this summer the most successful ever,” added Cheryl.
