GOLDEN girl Jessica Ennis is in the running to be crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Olympic time-trial champion Bradley Wiggins, Britain’s first winner of the Tour de France is 2/5 favourite to take the title with bookmakers William Hill, followed by double Olympic champion Mo Farah.
Farah picked up both the men’s 5,000m and 10,000m titles at London 2012 and is a 4/1 shot.
Tennis star Andy Murray is the third favourite after winning gold in the London 2012 men’s singles, silver in the London 2012 mixed doubles and becoming the first British Grand Slam event winner for 76 years with victory in the U.S. Open.
Murray is 7/1, ahead of Jess at 8/1 and fifth favourite David Weir, who is 25/1 after winning four gold medals in the T54 class – in the 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m and marathon – at the London 2012 Paralympics.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on Sunday, December 16.
