A BOOK of poems written by a Sheffield woman as her husband battled cancer is back on sale to raise cash for a city hospital.

Just 52 copies of Poems By Christine Gray are left at the city’s Waterstones store in Orchard Square.

Weston Park Cancer Hospital – where her husband James was treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma before he died four years ago – is also selling the title at £2.50.

Money raised will boost the coffers of the hospital charity.

Christine, 71, of Sothall, said: “Writing these poems was quite cathartic and the doctors and nurses did say they gave an insight into people who are going through cancer and their partners.

“James was a great bloke, everybody knew him, and the book really is an acknowledgment too.”
