Where’s England?

Have your say

Many, many years ago I read a letter in The Star from a then Labour councillor who said he had seen a map of Europe on which England was missing.

Since then, ever more power has been handed over and our sovereignty diminished until we have become subordinate to the EU and incapable of running our own affairs.

So how did this come about and where is this leading us? The answer can be found in the following statement:

“Europe’s nations should be guided towards the superstate without their people understanding what is happening.

“This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation”. – Jean Monnet. founding father of EU 1943.

It was also believed that federation would ‘make war unthinkable and materially impossible’.

Well, Monnet’s plan has almost come to fruition, federation appears on the horizon and many people are indeed bewildered as to how we got to where we are today.

However, they may welcome the idea that federation will make war almost impossible but world events today appear to be about to make a mockery of that prediction.
