South Yorkshire firefighters were kept busy last night with three arson attacks across the area.

A summer house in a garden on Adlington Crescent in Parson Cross, Sheffield, was deliberately set alight yesterday evening.

Officers were called to the property at 7.05pm and left an hour later after controlling the blaze.

Two wheelie bin arson attacks happened within ten minutes of each other - one in Barnsley and one in Doncaster.

Firefighters were called to Thornton Road in Kendray, Barnsley, and Asquith Road in Bentley, Doncaster, to deal with the two separate blazes.

Fire officers also had to tackle a bin chute that was ablaze on Greenland Way in Greenland, Sheffield.

The service was called at 11.15pm and officers spent half an hour dealing with the fire.

The cause of the bin chute fire is unknown.
