Well done, love

IT’S ashtrays in the air for a momentous event. My daughter, Melanie, has finally kicked the habit and stubbed out the noxious weed. In other words, she’s stopped smoking and life’s a breath of fresh air. Well done, love.

Good luck, Matt

I WAS very pleased to see that local photographer Matt Coe had won his company’s Photographer of the Year award. My family enjoyed an hour-long photo session with Matt in February. He was unfailingly polite and respectful, kind and very professional. He was also hugely creative and enthusiastic. When we went back a couple of weeks later to view the photos, they were breathtakingly beautiful and moved me to tears. He deserves this award and I hope he enjoys even greater success in the future.

Return to Libya

IF the pro-Gaddafi supporters outside the Town Hall think he’s so great, why are they here? They should be sent back to Libya and live under his rules. A police spokeswoman said it was all lawful and peaceful, but how could it be if between 30 to 40 people were fighting in the street?
