Charities across South Yorkshire are set for a cash boost from a funding pot.
The Health Lottery’s local division, HealthRich, has raised £124,938 for organisations in Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham.
Recipients of this year’s grants include Rotherham Seahorse Society, Sheffield’s Burngreave Tenants and Residents’ Association and Ellesmere Youth Project and Doncaster’s Ethnic Minority Regeneration Partnership and Growing a Greater Bentley.
The Doncaster-based Personalisation Forum Group got the biggest windfall of £25,000 to fund work combating loneliness and isolation.
Chris Lunn, HealthRich director, said: ‘“The projects are valuable to a range of individuals across this region.
“We look forward to hearing more about how these initiatives are enabling people to live longer healthier lives.”
