Grab your sunnies, Sheffield - temperatures are set to soar to a pleasant 17C by Friday.

High pressure continues to dominate this week, bringing dry weather with temperatures stuck in the mid to high teens, according to the Met Office.

Today will be dry with good spells of strong sunshine. It will stay dry overnight but it will become chilly with some fog patches in rural areas.

The mercury is set to keep rising this week, peaking at a maximum of 17C on Friday.

The weekend is set to be about 11C - much more comfortable for the runners heading to the start line at the Yorkshire Half Marathon in Sheffield on Sunday.
