People in Sheffield are encouraged to pull on a woolly hat or jumper in aid of a homeless project.

The Cathedral Archer Project’s Wear a Woolly campaign will take place on Friday, February 6.

It aims to raise awareness of the cause, as well as raising funds for the Sheffield city centre-based charity, which aims to turn around the lives of desperate and vulnerable people.

Sainsbury’s, on Arundel Gate in the city centre, is one of the first firms to sign up.

A spokesman for the project, said: “The premise is simple; just get your favourite woolly, be it a beanie or a jumper, and get your donation or sponsorship sorted.”
