DAVE, S3, writes short, succinct letters. On April 22 he refers to diversity and says there’s nothing wrong with a little of it.
He may be right; every national state produces its own diversity. A reading of English political and social and cultural history shows that this country, this culture, has produced all the diversity, not to say idiosyncracy and eccentricity it knows how to handle. This is one social product we do not need to import.
