VISITORS to Madame Tussauds in Blackpool can catch a glimpse of Sheffield’s golden girl Jessica Ennis – but for a limited time only

Jessica’s waxwork figure will be on display in Blackpool, having arrived from its permanent home in Madame Tussauds, London.

Matthew Titherington, for Tussauds, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jessica to our Best of British line up of sports stars at Madame Tussauds Blackpool,”

“We are sure she will be a hit with our guests and expect a flood of fans clamouring to pose alongside her to recreate the special Olympic moment.”

The London 2012 Olympic heptathlon champion gave Tussauds sculptors a sitting in March 2011, where hundreds of precise measurements were taken.

The figure, which wears kit donated by Jessica, took four months to complete.
