WATCH LIVE: Action girl to tightrope walk 125ft above Sheffield city centre

Sheffield-born tightrope walker and current world-record holder for the longest female highline, Sarah Rixham will walk a 125ft wire between two Sheffield Hallam University buildings - and you can watch it live on The Star's Facebook page.

The daredevil feat - at 7.30am today - will open the 11th annual Sheffield Adventure Film Festival, part of The Outdoor City Weekender.

The Star will be using new, ground-breaking Facebook technology to video live-stream this incredible event as it happens.

We’re also hoping to bring you two different camera angles looking up as well as from the top of the building, which will give you Sarah’s bird’s-eye view - but not for the faint hearted!

Having travelled the world highlining in some of the most awe-inspiring and hair-raising locations imaginable, 25-year old Sarah returns to her hometown to join a weekend of celebrations to showcase the huge variety of outdoor adventures that Sheffield has to offer.

From an international Climbing competition to a road-cycling race up seven notoriously arduous hills in the city.

Sarah said: "It’s a very special experience for me to finally get to highline in the city my slackline journey started."
