A video of three Doncaster Rovers players akwardly singing their way through a One Direction song has become an internet hit.
The clip has been seen by fans of the boy band - which includes Doncaster's very own Louis Tomlinson - around the globe after being shared by Rovers' skipper Andy Butler on Twitter.
New summer signings goalkeeper Ross Etheridge, midfielder Will Longbottom and defender Tyler Garrett were filmed bashfully singing along to the boy band's 2011 number What Makes You Beautiful at a pre-season training camp in Scotland.
Perched on a stage dressing in Rovers training game, the trio nervously announce themselves to watching and giggle team mates as One Direction before launching into the song.
The three are filmed stumbling over the lyrics and staring at their feet as they crowd around a mobile phone to get a glimpse of the lyrics.
Off camera, players can be heard giggling as the tone-deaf group make their best stab at the song, before being met with rapturous applause at the end of the 75 second clip which has been shared hundreds of times on Twitter.
Skipper Andy Butler, who is believed to have filmed the video tweeted: "We had a few singers this week and these were the 3 losers, their forfeit to make a boyband #onewrongdirection #drfc
Fellow Rovers star James Coppinger then tweeted the link of the video directly to Doncaster One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, writing: "What you reckon @Louis_Tomlinson some competition there. #Drfc."
The clip, filmed at the University of Stirling in Scotland, where the club have been enjoying a pre-season training camp, has since been shared by Rovers and 1D fans alike.
The sing-song is understood to have been part of an initiation ceremony used to welcome new players to the club.
