Waste plant decision day
A LONG-running battle against controversial plans for a waste plant near Chesterfield could finally come to an end next month.
Residents have campaigned for over a year to stop an incinerator being built at Sheepbridge Industrial Estate.
Derbyshire County Council has announced the plans will now be discussed on October 19.
The Chesterfield Against Incineration group and supporters - which include MPs, councillors and hundreds of residents - say the plant will release harmful emissions.
Developers Cyclamax say there are no health risks.
