Motorists are being reminded to secure their cars and remove their valuables after a vehicle was targeted in Derbyshire.
The incident happened between Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 20, in Church Street, Bradwell.
Police said the culprits had smashed a window trying to break into a red Peugeot.
PCSO Anthony Boswell from the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We would like to remind members of the public to remove any valuables from their vehicles and to leave nothing, including small change, on display.
“Taking simple steps such as activating the alarm system on your car, removing any valuables and keeping items out of sight will make it less vulnerable.
“Enquiries are being made in the area and patrols are being increased, but we would also like to urge residents to remain vigilant and take the extra steps to help deter criminals.”
Anyone with information about the Bradwell break-in is asked to contact Derbyshire police on 101.
