TWO walkers who got lost on Kinder Scout were led to safety by members of the Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.
The walkers, aged in their sixties, were out on the southern edges of Kinder Scout when a thick mist descended and they became separated.
The ground was icy and there was a chill wind.
Volunteers from the rescue team were deployed and the walkers were located – and returned safely to their vehicle parked at Edale.
A spokesman said the walkers, from the Greater Manchester area, had been kitted out appropriately for the weather conditions.
