WILDLIFE fans are invited to take part in two events organised by Sheffield Wildlife Trust.
The first is a volunteer day at Fox Hagg Nature Reserve where help is needed to pull up bracken so heather and bilberry plants can flourish.
The volunteer day is on Sunday, July 17, from 10am until 3pm.
Helpers should meet at the car park off Lodge Lane in Lodge Moor, Sheffield, grid reference SK 290 866.
Organisers say volunteers need to wear suitable clothes and sturdy footwear, and bring sun cream, waterproofs, lunch and water.
The second event is a guided walk along the Seven Weirs Walk leaving from Sheffield city centre.
Participants should meet at Lady’s Bridge, at the bottom of Castle Market, at 11am on Sunday, July 24.
The walk along the riverside will be followed by a picnic at Salmon Pastures Nature Reserve.
It is a joint event with the Junior Winn TARA, part of a series of events being run by the Don Heritage for Young People project.
Walkers will be looking out for hoverflies, dragonflies, butterflies and moths.
