SHOULD Next be allowed to build a new homeware store near Meadowhall?

Sheffield City Council has refused planning permission - saying it could risk planned investment in the city centre on The Moor and in the planned Sevenstone retail quarter.

But Next chief executive Lord Simon Wolfson said the store, on a derelict site off Meadowhall Way, would have been the largest Next Home store of its kind and ‘brought customers to Sheffield from far and wide’ as well as creating 125 jobs.
