IT’S time to bring your bonny babies along – The Star’s Cute Kids competition is back!
The contest, which awards prizes to the region’s little cherubs, is taking place from today until Saturday, at Mothercare, on Eyre Street, in Sheffield city centre.
Anyone can take their cute kids to be photographed free by a professional snapper, and a picture of each child will appear in a special keepsake supplement in The Star.
Family, friends and readers are then asked to submit their nominations for the cutest youngsters.
Each winner receives a Mothercare gift voucher and a black and white acrylic print of their little child’s photograph.
There will be one winner in each of three age categories for boys and girls – 0 to 12 months, 13 to 24 months, and 25 to 36 months.
The last Cute Kids event took place in October, with Caitlin Denton, aged five months, from Aston, coming top in the under-18 months category.
Darcy Robinson, 19 months, from Norton Lees, scooped the 18 months to three years prize.
Courteney Scott, from High Green, collected the most votes in the three-to-five years category.
The six-day competition will be running from 10am to 4.30pm this week.
Sheffield Newspapers spokeswoman Jackie Capper said previous events have been a huge success, with hundreds of cute kids getting their photos taken.
“It’s a family day out – all the family come along to see their children get photographed,” Jackie said.
