Crystal Peaks mall is continuing work with the Riverside Stewardship Company to restore a neglected waterway close to the shopping centre.
Ochre Dike is a small stream that rises at Gleadless Townend and meanders past Crystal Peaks before joining the River Rother in Beighton.
The next volunteer activity clean-up day will be on April 14, when work will include tree management and litter and debris removal.
“The Riverside Stewardship Company carry out the important risk assessment and provide all the proper equipment to ensure the volunteers can do a good job safely,” said Crystal Peaks centre manager Lee Greenwood.
“This project is one part of a wider campaign to create green spaces and even a wildflower corridor in the months and years to come.”
