GREEN-FINGERED volunteers dug deep to bring spring to Sheffield parkland.
Volunteered helped plant flowers at the spot off Hickmott Road, near Sharrowvale Road, as well as pruning trees, laying paving and soil and installing a balustrade.
When planting is completed, seating and gravel will be added before the finished park is officially unveiled.
The land is being transformed into a community green space by Sharrow Vale Community Association.
Ann Fogerty, of the group, said: “We had quite a few helpers come along and it went really well.”
