A NEW group representing Sheffield’s voluntary, community and religious organisations has met for the first time.
The inaugural meeting of Sheffield Third Sector Assembly involved members of more than 70 organisations.
Jane Anslow, of Voluntary Action Sheffield, said: “For the first time in Sheffield, there is a strong, clear voice for the third sector to shout out about the things that matter.”
At the first meeting local voluntary and community groups shared their ideas for the sector, and signed up to ‘special interest’ groups on topics including children and young people, housing, health and enterprise and economy.
