A leading cancer charity is looking for volunteers to help them reach even more people in Sheffield affected by cancer.
Macmillan Cancer Support is urging people to volunteer their time to support the Sheffield 10k on Sunday October 30.
Fundraising manager Rob Turner said: “Volunteers are needed to support the amazing Team Macmillan runners who are hoping to raise £25,000 on the day, which could fund a Macmillan nurse for six months. We need a team of people to help us to cheer people along the course and hand out refreshments.
“Ideally we are looking for people that are able to give two to four hours of their time on race day, between 7am and 1pm. You will be helping us to give our runners the best possible experience to try to raise as much money as possible to support our work in the region. Refreshments will be provided for volunteers, as well as Macmillan t-shirts.”
