St Luke’s Hospice is looking for volunteers to help expand its Biz Kids project in the city.
The project ses Sheffield primary schools and businesses working together to raise money for the city’s only hospice, encouraging children to work on fundraising activities that can be built into lessons for any key stage and promote young entrepreneurial activity.
As well as raising money for St Luke’s Hospice, the project also strengthens links between the business community and schools.
Now, as plans get under way for Biz Kids 2016, organisers are looking for volunteers to go into schools as ambassadors for the hospice.
Clare Robinson, St Luke’s Community Fundraising Manager, said: “We are ideally looking for a volunteer with some level of school experience. The Challenge launches in November with the majority of time spent in schools between January 4 and March 2.
“Volunteers will be expected to support schools and businesses on their enterprise challenges, typically spending one hour per week at each school they are paired with over a six week period.
