Volunteers have helped countryside rangers improve an overgrown area of the Trans-Pennine Trail.

Members of Volunteer Action Barnsley joined forces with Barnsley Council workers to clear overgrowth on an access ramp at Lund Lane, Lundwood.

Carolyn Ellis, from Voluntary Action Barnsley, said: “We were able to make a big impact on the site.”

Further work is planned in the coming months.
