VOLUNTEERS are being sought who will be asked to decide how grants are handed out in Sheffield communities.
Sheffield Council’s North East Community Assembly is setting up panels in each of its four areas – Burngreave, Firth Park, Shiregreen Brightside and Southey.
The panels will administer the Community First fund which has handed out £559,515 over the last four years in north east Sheffield, in individual grants of up to £2,500.
People wishing to join must come forward by January 9.
The assembly is looking for people who live or work in any of the wards, own a business or work for a voluntary, community or religious group within each area.
