Volunteers asked to join policing panel for railways

Have your say

Volunteers are being asked to join a Citizens Panel to give feedback to British Transport Police.

The force, which polices the railway network and stations, wants people who have a general interest in railways and the railway community, in particular those who have strong links with local communities, to work in an advisory role to provide feedback and advice on how the force’s actions are interpreted by members of the public.

Inspector Dave McMenemy said: “We want members of the panel to have links to the diverse communities we police so we can help form a bridge between these groups and British Transport Police.”

n Anyone interested should call Insp McMenemy on 0113 2472359.
