Volunteers have replaced a fence in a Sheffield park which was damaged by vandals.

The Sheffield rangers team also helped renew the fence in the sensory garden at Millhouses Park.

The fence was damaged – and handholds from a climbing wall in the park stolen – in a recent spate of vandalism.

John Brighton, chairman of the park’s friends group, said there had been a ‘very positive community response’ after the incidents and thanked volunteers for their help.

A group member has also received a donation to upgrade the park’s climbing frame.
