Viv scores a winner with Kiveton girls

Local Vauxhall retailer, Perry's of Rotherham, has announced their commitment to grass roots football in the area. Perry's will be supporting local side Kiveton Park under 10's Girls Football Team this season by providing them with a brand new football kit as part of the Vauxhall Youth Football Programme As part of Vauxhall's wider support for Youth Football, Sheffield Wednesday and England legend Vivian Anderson MBE, handed over the brand new kit to Kiveton Park FC at the retail outlet this week. The 57-year-old is no stranger to grass roots football having been scouted playing for a local side in Nottingham, he broke into the Nottingham Forest team at the age of just 17. Anderson went on to win 30 caps for England and made nearly 600 professional club appearances for the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Nottingham Forest. Owls and England football legend Viv Anderson gave grass roots soccer a boost when he handed over a new kit to the girls from Kiveton Park FC.

The under-10s received their smart new strips thanks to Rotherham car dealership Perry’s, as part of the Vauxhall Youth Football Programme’s bid to support grass roots football.

Viv, aged 57, capped by England 30 times, said: “Grass roots football is the lifeblood of the game in England and it is great to see the Kiveton Park girls in their brand new kit.”
