The University of Sheffield is using Virtual Reality for research in molecular biology.

What once took five years to research can now - with VR - be done in one week. VR also helps researchers examine the effectiveness and devleopment of drugs.

VR means that a protein’s structure can be analysed in 3D, which is helpful when investigating drug resistance. It also means that chemists, pharmeceutical companies and molecular scientists can work together at once.
