Barnardo’s shops across South Yorkshire are appealing for donations of vintage items to fund their work to help children.
The children’s charity’s shops in Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster have seen an increased demand for quality retro clothing and homeware – including dresses, trousers, shoes and handbags from as far back as the 1950s to the 90s as well as curtains, kitchenware and furniture.
Residents are also being asked to look out for any old gold jewellery.
Business manager Lindsey Harris said: “The vintage look is all the rage and people come into our shops specifically on the hunt for quality memorabilia.
“Every penny raised is used to support the vulnerable and disadvantaged children we work with.”
