Village hall pamper day

A LADIES Pampering Day being held at Finningley Village Hall on Saturday February 5 will raise money for the Alzheimer’s Research Trust. The event has been organised by local woman Linda Saxton.

Admission to the event, 10.30am-2.30pm, is free and there will be massages, nail art, mini manicures and Body Shop make-up, plus refreshments.

Priory concert

ensemble 360 bring a programme of music by Beethoven, Reinecke, Weber and the modern new composer Thomas Ades when they perform their next concert at the Priory Place Methodist Church on Saturday February 5 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £11 and £9 in advance from the Civic Theatre, or on the door.

Fees rise?

Hatfield Town Council’s burial and recreation committee has decided to defer until next month a decision on a proposed increase of at least five per cent in cemetery charges for 2011-12.

the Bishop of Doncaster, the Rt Rev Cyril Ashton, will lead the annual Deanery Confirmation Service being held at St Mary’s Church, Tickhill, on Tuesday February 8.
