Two people have died and another is being treated for life-threatening injuries following a fireball crash in Branton.

All three people were inside the car at the time of the collision.

Emergency services remain at the scene following the horror smash in Poppyfields Way which happened at around 12.50pm today.

It was reported that a car set on fire car after it was in collision with a house.

Doncaster Road has been closed from the junction of Warning Tongue Lane roundabout to New Road at the junction with Whiphill Top Lane.

The road is expected to remain closed for some time while emergency services, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, respond to the incident.
