A huge plume of smoke from the fire last week could be seen as far away as Worksop, Chesterfield and Leeds.
Meanwhile, a charity which runs the site has welcomed its trainees back today.
Sheffield Reclaim Ltd in Attercliffe had most of its buildings gutted by the massive blaze, on Sunday, July 14.
Staff and volunteers have vowed to ‘bounce back’ after reopening the offices to trainees.
Liz Carrington, activity centre manager for the charity, said: “If you know this charity then you know we always look on the bright side of everything.
“We’re not fully open but we are trying to get things back to normal.
“All the trainees are back in helping out, we’ve got some volunteers coming in again.
“We’ll not be up and running as we used to be for a few months yet as the whole site has been destroyed so buildings need knocking down and rebuilding.”
The charity provides work in the recycling industry for adults with learning difficulties and helps them live independently.
