Three fire engines were called out to a Sheffield city centre pub tonight.

The Banker's Draft Wetherspoon pub by Fitzalan Square tram stop was evacuated at about 7.30pm and the fire service was called out.

Three engines were on scene but the incident was a false fire alarm, according to Wetherspoon staff.

Staff and customers were made to wait outside after the evacuation but were able to return after South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service crews attended.
