Roll up, roll up, the circus is back in town – and its ringleader says you’re never too old, young, or cool to enjoy the fun.
Zippo’s Circus has returned to Endcliffe Park, Ecclesall, for a show-stopping extravaganza to mark its 30th year on the road.
Never before seen in the UK, Roseline and her pet cats – all rescued from France – display natural agility, balance, comedy and cuteness.
Attendees can also witness the incredible skills of Boris Borissov and his troupe, who juggle and perform acrobatics on horseback.
Brazilian trapeze artist Alex Michael will giving a daring performance – without no safety net to protect him.
Czech husband and wife Toni and Nikol will perform their nail-biting knife-throwing routine and Duo Galaxy will do their terrifying ‘Wheel of Death’.
Visitors can enjoy comic antics clown Mr Lorenz, flaming fun with Alex the Fireman, crazy acrobatics displays from The Timbuktu Tumblers and foot juggling from Italian beauty Romy.
Ringmaster Norman Barrett MBE, aged 80, said: “It’s a classy show packed with amazing talent, daring displays, comedy and action.
“This display is guaranteed to keep adults and children alike entertained. You’re never too old, too young, or too cool to get to the circus.
“People ask me why I don’t retire. And I say ‘and do what?’ – I love this job and I’m so proud of this circus.”
