Children from under 7s to under 16s battled it out for trophies and prizes across a string of football pitches and the club’s Bessie Bear mascot and Doncaster Rovers mascot Donny Dog also joined in the fun.

Club secretary Nathan Batchelor said: “It takes months of planning and we have had a tremendous response from the teams and supporters. We have had loads of positive comments and teams have come from far afield to get involved.

“Hopefully it will generate much needed funds for the club and also generate both future development of Bessacarr and young footballers across the area.
