A city centre street has been cordoned off by police this afternoon after a man was hit by a bus.
The incident happened on West Street at around 1.35pm.
Buses are being diverted and Supertram services between the Cathedral and Shalesmoor have been temporarily suspended.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Officers are currently dealing with a collision in West Street, Sheffield.
"At about 1.35pm it was reported that a bus had been involved in a collision with a male pedestrian.
"The man has been taken to hospital although the extent of his injuries is not yet known.
"Part of West Street is currently closed, close to the junction with Eldon Street."
A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said they had been called at 1.30pm to the incident, with an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle sent to the scene.
The injured person has been taken to the Northern General Hospital for treatment.
