Hundreds of people packed into public spaces in Sheffield and Rotherham to raise awareness of domestic violence.
One Billion Rising is a global event held every year on Valentine’s Day, which involves people all around the world taking part in ‘flash mob’ dances to raise awareness of issues affecting women.
On Saturday women danced en masse at the Peace Gardens, joined by men and children showing their support.
All Saints Square in Rotherham was also home to a flash dance event attended by young families.
An auction of Sheffield Wednesday gear was put on in the evening to raise money for women’s charities including for domestic abuse, trafficking and sexual exploitation.
