Doncaster has paid its respects to the nation’s war dead on Armistice Day.

Shoppers, military veterans and civic dignitaries gathered at the Mansion House for the traditional two minute silence at 11am - the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

The Ven Bob Fitzharris led a short service which included words from Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones as well as the sounding of the Last Post from the balcony of the Mansion House before the assembled crowds paid their respects.
