Devastated staff and students at Danum Academy have paid tribute to five teenagers who died after a horrific car crash on Saturday night.

Bartosz Bortniczak, 18, Blake Cairns, 16, Arpad Kore, 18, Jordanna Goodwin, 16, and Megan Storey, 16, all from Doncaster, died in a collision on the A630 on Saturday night.

Blake, Arpad, Jordanna and Megan were all current pupils at the school, while Bartosz was a former pupil.

The school, based on Armthorpe Road, is covered in a sea of floral tributes from students, staff and loved ones.

Headteacher, Rebecca Staples said: “They were all so bright, and destined for big things. Their deaths are a huge loss to Doncaster.”
