VIDEO: Dakota flypast at Doncaster Racecourse

Waiting for Video...

Classic car lovers were treated to vintage transport of a different kind with a dramatic flypast at Doncaster Racecourse.

Visitors to the Doncaster Classic Car Show were treated to a display from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as the Douglas C-47 Dakota swooped low over the crowds.

The aircraft is considered one of the most successful aircraft designs in history. It became one of the world’s most famous military transport aircraft and saw widespread use by the Allies during World War Two and subsequently by Air Forces and civilian operators worldwide.

Enthusiast Graham Dobson captured this video of the Dakota on its flight over Doncaster.
