Staff and students at Doncaster College rolled back the years to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day with a 1940s themed street party.
For one afternoon only there was a variety of themed stalls, games and activities as well as live music throughout the day for visitors to enjoy.
Guests could have a go at building a bunker or cooking with wartime ingredients and The British Legion and veterans unveiled their colours to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landings.
A brass band and choir highlighted memorable music of the era and other activities on offer included conscription, a chance to browse the NAAFI and 1940’s games and quizzes.
Among the guests at the event at The Hub was war veteran Flt Lt Eric Clarke, 101, who served in the Royal Air Forced during World War Two.
