Historic Conisbrough Castle has re-opened to the public after a £1.1m revamp.
The English Heritage property has been closed for six months over the winter for a refurbishment as well as the construction of a new visitor centre.

The 12th Century visitor attraction also includes new disabled parking facilties, a tea room, shop and activity centre, new interpretation boards, wall projected storytellers and a range of artefacts not seen in public at Conisbrough for decades.

Site manager Gavin Smithies said: “There has been a lot going on over the winter and we are looking forward to showing people the changes we’ve made and welcoming everyone back to the castle.”
