This ‘amazing lad’ is Butterscotch, who is looking for a new forever home in Sheffield after his previous owner died.

He has been cared for by staff at the RSPCA since February, but it is now time for him to find someone new to love.

Adam Spencer of RSPCA Sheffield described Butterscotch as an ‘amazing lad’.

He said: “Butterscotch is a larger, super handsome white cat who was brought to us by an Inspector. His owner passed away some time ago and he has been living rough ever since but luckily, some caring neighbours kept an eye on him and fed him until rescue space could be found.

“He had an injured ear and an awful ear mite infestation when he arrived, but after some vet treatment and TLC, he is now all better and looking forward to a fresh start and a new home.

“He enjoys a fuss and a groom and will occasionally participate in an interactive session with the fishy rod game.”

Butterscotch, who is five-years-old, can be timid at first but just needs to get to know new people and feel secure in his surroundings before his character comes out. He is a loving and affectionate cat who adores spending time with people.

Butterscotch is looking for a quieter home. He needs a home where any children are older and who will better understand his nature and needs.
