Have your say

I hope you all helped yourself on my tips last weeks, as they all won.

I hope you all helped yourself on my tips last weeks, as they all won.

Not that it is a great idea to listen to my tips as I won’t crow about it when they all lose, and that happens quite often. Anyway United and Wednesday both won and it could well be more of the same this weekend.

Both clubs are doing well and they are sitting in positions were they can challenge.

Both managers will be reasonably happy although managers are never happy unless they are top by ten points.

In fact life is suddenly quite rosy in the Sheffield football garden after the trauma of last season.

Mr Megson and Mr Wilson were backed to be the first managers to get the chop but they have weathered any storms and are now 11/1 and 25/1 to go next.

On Saturday the Owls should in theory pick up three points against Exeter City, but one note of caution.

Owls fans might remember that Exeter tonked them 5-1 at St James Park and then beat them 2-1 at Hillsborough, so I’m not convinced that the 8/13 is worth wading into.

The Blades travel to Wycombe having only ever played them once in the League Cup years ago. They are Evens to win and I think I would be a backer of that. Wycombe have lost their last five matches so they are hardly in good shape.

I’m not sure what is happening at the Keepmoat? Donny seem all at sea. The injuries to Hayter and Sharp have obviously not helped but this is woeful form and they are 8/15 to go down.

That price though is the best out there because we actually want people to come to us to back them.

We actually think they will stay up. Another question is whether Sean O’Driscoll is still manager at the end of the season. We go 8/11 that he is and Evens that he isn’t. It’s a tough one to call.

We even think he might go to Bristol City if Millen gets the push.

Bet of the week is Derby County at 13/8 to beat Millwall at Pride Park. Derby are 4th and Millwall 16th and yet they are 13/8 each of two. Get on Derby!
