Victim urged to ring police

THE victim of an alleged attempted robbery at Sheffield railway station has been urged to contact police.

The man was walking through the station when police say a man bumped into him, knocking his bag and wallet to the ground. The man then picked up the wallet and ran. The victim left before giving officers a statement.

A 32-year-old Sheffield man was arrested at the scene and the victim’s wallet was returned to him by a witness.
