A HAIRDRESSER is hanging up his scissors after more than 50 years of cutting Sheffield residents’ hair.

Roger Sherwood, 68, runs the Kutz hair salon in Dore as well as a branch in Bakewell, but is retiring from day-to-day work and handing over the business to colleagues.

Roger was born in Southey Green and set up his first salon in Castle Square, Sheffield.

Kirstine Allott, who will be taking over the Dore shop along with fellow stylist Hayley Mangle, said Roger will ‘definitely be missed’.

Staff are holding a party tonight to mark his retirement and announce the handover of the Dore salon.
