TWO etched glass windows in a Sheffield pub - one dating back 100 years - were destroyed when bricks were hurled through them.
The windows were smashed when the Cobden View on Cobden View Road, Crookes, came under attack after closing time.
Manager Laura Johnston was clearing up when two bricks where thrown through the windows - one of which was an original feature over 100 years old.
She said staff and locals were disappointed at the vandalism .
“I was cleaning up after closing time when someone or some people threw two bricks through the windows,” she said.
“There is no reason for it - there has been no trouble, nobody has been barred, we just can’t understand it and just want the police to get to the bottom of it.
“One window was original, one was replaced in the ’70s but both were lovely features and we used to get people just coming to the pub to take photos of them.”
n Call police on 0114 220 2020 with information about the attack on Saturday February 26.
