Van torched at stadium in Sheffield

An arson attack was to blame for a van going up in flames at Owlerton Stadium in Sheffield.

The Toyota was torched on Friday afternoon.

Flames from the blaze spread to tyres and nearby grassland.

A car set alight in Meadow Croft Close, Whiston, Rotherham, in the early hours of Saturday was so badly damaged firefighters were unable to establish the make or model.

Firefighters also dealt with a Vauxhall Astra torched in Baring Road, Blackburn, Rotherham, over the weekend and a Ford Fiesta set alight in Upper Gate Road, Stannington, Sheffield.

In the early hours of Sunday a disused garage was torched in Maple Road, Mexborough, Rotherham.
